Home

This poem was written after watching a film about teens running away from home and  experienced the real challenges in life.

Don’t runaway from home
Runaway and be alone
Don’t be like him who went in the wilderness
Where life is a mess

To grab a dirty floor for a rest
But here comes a pour of rain
Then later was  forced to move again
Eat late and even more
A glass of cold milk can’t even afford
With eyes closed, slept on a forbidden bed for a living
An hour after,  put inside  pocket one or two pieces of paper in green
Then find a better place to stay in.

Slept on a rental bed, and used it as his own
A clean sheet… a colored t.v…
But tomorrow as he rises, the telephone rang
He was thrown out because he paid only for a night
Then found himself back to where he began.

Until one day of depression
A day of isolation
He realized and longed for his home
Where he remembered…
His clean sheet…his colored t.v…
And when the morning comes
His mom was knocking just to check him
I knew his footsteps way back home…
Thank God… I’m in my own bed.

My Little Prince

This poem was written after watching a film  in school   "The Little Prince" released in 1974.  The film was the adaptaion of the  1943 famous book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry.  He was a French writer, poet, journalist, and aviator.

Life is…

My Little Prince
A thirsty creature boxed as a human being
Who is always been wandering
From North to South
Moving from East to West
Trying to quench the thirst.

My Little Prince
Like any human being
Never stops from walking
Searching for knowledge and truth
Because life is a mystery
A long road journey

And when the voyage commences
Man needs a bountiful love
From the abyss of his heart
So that when he meets someone along no matter what
It makes no difference
The heart will see through  him.

And when the last tick of the time comes
And my Little Prince is already at the end of the line
He can now smile and rest with his Creator above
Because he knew to himself
That he lived his life to the fullest
Like the tiny man, my Little Prince.

Love, Music, and You

A poem about music and love.

what is life without music

what is music without love

what is love without you

what is me without music

what is me without love

what is me without you

you are my love

my music and my life.

Cold December Night

A poem dedicated to the street children.

In a cold December night
A festive Christmas spirit fills the air
Christmas lights are above the trees
But below is a child on bended knees.
On a busy street
A child wanders
But who cares?
Everybody are into the holiday rush.
In a cold December night
In a crowded place
Many hands upclose
But no one holds
A child that no one holds.

In Silence

A poem about the beauty of silence.

In silence
Body reconnects to soul
Mind and heart meet
In the middle of a crowd
A defeaning silence
Darkness…
Confinements…
In silence
No confinements…
No boundaries…
Only hope, beauty, and profoundness
In silence I am alone…
I am  free.

Majayjay Trekking Adventure

Summer outing experience with friends way back in 2001.

A trekking summer outing happened on a day of May 10
11 women trooped early mornin’
with their get ups…light backpacks
rubber shoes and pants “waterproofs”…
at 7:00 am the engine start running
praying…sleeping…laughing….and talking…
finally after 3 hours the group  arrived
feeling excited though  a little bit nervous inside…
it was the most adventurous of them all
passing through the raging waters  from side to side
big rocks …every step so steep…slide and slip
climbing the top with the aid of a bamboo stick…
at the peak of the mountain
there the blue butterflies flyin’
crystal water were fallin’
amazed by the beauty of nature
those moments only memory can capture…
Majayjay a mirror of life’s journey
to conquer one’s own fears, face realities and adversaries
move on and trash out hearts’ baggages
and with a friend on hand to pull you through and through
in the end  is a rest, a taste of happiness…
left Majayjay with a smile
though it may be for awhile
a real breather from the urban life
now the writer can only sigh
wishing to come back in Majayjay.

Mother's Day: I am in You

A poem tribute to soon-to-be mothers and all the mothers in the world especially to my mother.

on the first day i got the confirmation
i felt elated cannot explain what a joy in my heart
every inch of me is what you will become.

40 weeks I carry you inside my womb
regardless of the pain I will endure for my first born
a joyous sacrifice for a journey I have not known
my body’s weakness is your strength
the roller coaster ride of emotional and physical challenges
such the terrible morning sickness
the occurrence  of various body changes
every beat of my heart i share with you
all that I breath goes through and through in every nerve of you
everything I take connects to your life
my first born, i am in you.

during  these times
i wonder the contour of your lips when you smile
i wonder your eyes what it looks like
i wonder your tiny hand would fit to your mother’s hand
almost everything about you
every inch of your body how you are formed into my tiny womb
my first born, I am in you.

now what a joy as  i carry you
i felt ecstatic all the doubts and fears banished
because when I saw you
my first born now i am in you
a God’s gift....... my life’s greatest fulfillment.
